Exiled Russian Billionaire Reveals Putin's Future -- It's Not Looking Good

Putin’s Need For Power Could Be The Very Thing That Destroys Him

(BrightPress.org) – When Russian President Vladimir Putin gave the order to invade Ukraine on February 24, few thought his war would last this long. There have been rumblings that Russian soldiers, desperate to end the war, have sabotaged the military, and inside Russia, thousands of people have protested against the war despite the consequences.

On Saturday, June 18, the Financial Times published an interview with exiled Russian billionaire Mikhail Khodorkovsky about Putin’s predicament. Exiled in London, England, the oligarch said the Russian president put himself in a bad situation with his invasion of Ukraine. The billionaire warned that the war against Ukraine would be Putin’s demise.

Khodorkovsky stated that if Putin wins in Ukraine, war with NATO would be inevitable. If that happens, the billionaire said he believes the Russian president would lose to NATO.

Khodorkovsky said he liked the idea of Putin losing the war. Still, he said he’s tempered by the loss of life and the high number of casualties. The billionaire noted that the outcome of the conflict was entirely in the hands of Western countries. He disagreed strongly with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger’s analysis that Ukraine should give Russia what it wants to obtain peace.
