(BrightPress.org) – Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) sent letters out to both Twitter and former FBI agent Timothy Thibault’s girlfriend asking they preserve tweets that documented the FBI’s alleged intention to retaliate against agents who blew the whistle on the Hunter Biden laptop investigation.
This follows Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) reporting to the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government that he had whistleblowers claiming the criminal probe into Hunter Biden was improperly closed for political reasons. In his February testimony, he reported that the investigation was improperly shut down shortly before the 2020 election even though they had verified some of the facts in the case, and while they still had leads to investigate.
The now-deleted Twitter account, @MissyMorganFit, featured publicly available tweets that suggested the FBI was willing to retaliate against whistleblowers in direct contravention of federal law. She also indicated that she had access to information that was not available publicly, the only avenue for that information would be her then-FBI boy toy, Thibault.
Thibault was the lead investigator who received evidence directly from former Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski. In 2017, Bobulinski met with Joe and Hunter Biden to discuss their family business in China. Information and evidence regarding that meeting were allegedly suppressed by Thibault. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) demanded Thibault appear for a transcribed interview in January, which has yet to occur.
The story follows additional legal woes for the president’s son, as one of his many lawyers has resigned from his team. Joshua Levy is no longer representing the Biden’s, according to a report by the New York Times. The report indicates infighting and disagreement among the legal team. Levy has previously represented individuals like Bill Clinton and Jared Kushner who were similarly embroiled in political scandals.
Levy reportedly disliked the move of Abbe Lowell, another attorney on the team. Lowell was primarily responsible for the decision to send Rudy Giuliani and 13 other people “litigation hold” letters to preserve records related to the handling of Hunter Biden’s now-infamous laptop and its contents. Some attorneys feel that move could backfire, Levy may be among them.
