Thomas Massie Argues To Arm The Teachers To Enraged NY Congressman

(BrightPress.org) – Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Jamal Bowman (D-NY) engaged in a shouting match that was caught on viral video over gun control and school shootings.

“Do they go to the funerals? No! They never go to the funerals!” Bowman belted out to a handful of onlookers and media.

The three-and-a-half-minute clip largely features Bowman, who ranted about Republicans being to blame for gun violence. He spoke about gun trafficking and gun violence that impacts inner-city black neighborhoods. He curiously neglected to realize most of those areas are under democratic control and have the most strict gun control laws.

“The American people need to know, that they [Congressional Republicans] don’t have the courage… to save the lives of children,” Bowman spat. “Black, white, brown, indigenous, Asian, everyone! They’re all cowards! Force them to respond! Let them explain it all the way up to election day 2024!”

Around the 2-minute mark, Rep. Thomas Massie walks by and calmly inquires, “What are you talking about?”

“I’m talking about gun violence!”

“You know, there’s never been a school shooting in a school that allows teachers to carry,” Massie said calmly.

“Carry guns?!” Bowman yelled, incensed at the mere thought. “More guns lead to more death!”

“Would you co-sponsor my bill?” Massie replied with a smile.

“Data! You’re not looking at any data!” Bowman barked. The two then simultaneously talked over one another, jockeying for position before the camera. Bowman touted his school experience working in schools, while Massie calmly reiterated the same point. Eventually, Bowman gives up and walks away as Massie completes his thought, “In every school that has allowed teachers to carry, there has never been a mass shooting.”

The debate over gun violence and gun control rages on as Democrats constantly make emotional pleas for more big-daddy government rules to abrogate the second amendment. There’s always a flare-up following a viral mass shooting. This latest debate followed a shooting in Nashville that left 7 people dead, including the shooter, three staff members, and three young children.

Massie’s tweet on the subject inspired much debate.
