(BrightPress.org) – Alex Soros, son of billionaire George Soros, has endorsed President Joe Biden for re-election. Alex now runs his father’s Open Society Foundations, which spends around $1.5 billion annually on leftist causes worldwide.
George Soros handed over control of his $25 billion empire to Alex last summer..
On the night of July 10th, Alex tweeted his endorsement, urging Democrats to unite against Donald Trump. After the presidential debate where Biden’s performance led to a drop in the polls, Alex highlighted an article from Bloomberg News, pointing out that Biden had narrowed the gap with Trump in swing states despite the debate loss.
Alex Soros insists he is more political than his father, who has been a major force in promoting left-wing causes globally. George Soros has backed radical left-wing prosecutors in the U.S. and spent over $40 million on direct campaign spending in the past decade to elect such prosecutors. These prosecutors have jurisdiction over 72 million Americans, including 25 of the 50 most populous cities and counties.
In 2004, George Soros spent over $23 million to help Democrats win elections. In 2012, he donated $1 million to the super PAC Priorities USA Action, supporting President Barack Obama. During the 2020 presidential race, he gave $500,000 to the Biden Victory Fund and millions more to super PACs backing Biden. In autumn 2023, he donated $250,000 to the Biden Victory Fund.
George Soros has been a staunch opponent of the state of Israel. He is said to have provided funding for Students for Justice in Palestine, which organized pro-Hamas protests following the October 7 attacks. In 2007, Soros criticized the Bush administration and Israel for not working with Hamas.
Alex Soros has warned Democrats about the upcoming election. With President Joe Biden’s debate performance raising concerns, some high-profile Democrats have urged Biden to step aside, suggesting that Vice President Kamala Harris might be a stronger candidate against Trump. Polls show Trump leading Biden and other Democratic candidates with less than four months until the election.
