Biden Under Fire For Open Border Policies

(BrightPress.org) – At the Republican National Convention, Tom Homan, former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), made a bold statement. He called President Joe Biden’s open border policy “national suicide.”

Homan, with over 30 years in law enforcement, started as a Border Patrol agent in 1984. He worked for six presidents, beginning with Ronald Reagan. Homan stated that every president he worked for promised to secure the border. Trump was the only one who delivered on that promise.

According to Homan, Trump created the most secure border in history. He claimed that under Trump, illegal immigration dropped by 90%, reaching the lowest level in 45 years. Deportations increased, including historic numbers of gang members and criminals.

Homan accused Biden’s administration of neglecting border security. He described Biden’s actions as deliberate, not mere incompetence. He pointed out that Biden and Kamala Harris suspended deportations, halted border wall construction, and canceled the Remain in Mexico policy on their first day in office. They also reinstated the catch-and-release policy from the Obama era and proposed amnesty and free healthcare for millions. Homan linked these policies to record levels of illegal migration, sex trafficking, fentanyl deaths, and terrorists crossing the border.

Homan emphasized the danger of having over two million known “got-aways” —illegal immigrants who evade capture. He warned about the potential threat of these individuals, especially those from countries that sponsor terrorism. Homan called Biden the first president to intentionally make the border less secure.

Homan also addressed the national security threat posed by these policies. He labeled it the greatest threat since 9/11.

Homan had a clear message for illegal immigrants and Mexican cartels. He warned illegal immigrants to start packing because they would be deported. For the cartels, he promised that Trump would designate them as foreign terrorist organizations and eliminate them.

Trump’s approach to border security contrasts sharply with Biden’s. Homan asserted that Trump would stop drugs and crime from pouring into American neighborhoods. He described Trump as a warrior who would make America safe again.
