4-Year-Old Boy Dies in California Road Rage Shooting

(BrightPress.org) – A 4-year-old boy was shot and killed during a road rage incident in California on Friday, December 15th. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department published a bulletin indicating the shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. in the city of Lancaster on the Sierra Highway.

Mayor R. Rex Parris speaking with KABC said the incident was “unimaginable.” He also said the city will be prosecuting the suspects to the fullest extent possible and that he wished they had attempted to resist when police arrested them such that they could have been dealt with on the spot.

The suspects are Byron Buckhart, 29, and Alexandria Gentile, 27, according to LA County Sheriffs. Police report that they pursued the family through the streets of the town. They were arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder though charges have yet to be filed by the LA County DA’s office.

Four-year-old Gor Adamyan is dead after his family’s car was shot eight times by the suspects. Three shots hit Gor, who was in the back seat of the vehicle. He passed away the following day at the hospital.

Miguel Coronado is the family’s spokesman and he said that after they unintentionally cut the suspects off, they began to pursue and harass the family with their vehicle. They report witnessing the female suspect handing a gun to the male shooter.

Parris reported that they were able to find the suspects due to a partial on their license plate which allowed them to track the vehicle to a hotel where they were staying.

Gor’s parents were on a normal trip to the grocery store and the child cried when he realized his parents were going out without him, so they took him with them.

The family described Gor as “vibrant” and a “bright spirit” on their GoFundMe where they are raising funds to help cover funeral costs.

Little is known about the suspects. A Facebook page for Byron Buckheart is available and shows pictures of him smoking from a glass pipe as well as images of an infant child.

Alexandria Gentile has a criminal record in LA going back to 2016 when she was sentenced to probation for domestic violence charges. She was alleged to have assaulted a domestic partner in that case. She was forbidden from possessing a firearm for 10 years as a part of that resolution, suggesting she may face additional penalties.
