Biden Officially Clinches 2024 Nomination

(BrightPress.org) – President Joe Biden has secured the Democratic vote as the 2024 presidential nominee. Georgia’s primary pushed Biden over the 1968 delegates needed to lock in the victory.

Biden only faced minimal opposition from Representative Dean Phillips from Minnesota and Marianne Williamson throughout the primary elections. Neither opponent obtained delegates this cycle. There was one minor hiccup on Super Tuesday when Biden lost the Democratic caucus in American Samoa. Jason Palmer, a previously unknown candidate, won three delegates for the convention.

Several voters chose to support the “uncommitted” campaign as a protest to Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war. So far, “uncommitted” has obtained 20 delegates for the DNC convention.

At 81 years old, Biden is the oldest sitting president in history. He would be 86 at the end of his second term if he were elected again. He has been described by Special Counsel Robert Hur as an “elderly man with a poor memory”. According to a recent survey, 61% of Americans disapprove of how Biden is leading the country and 63% are not confident Biden has the mental acuity to serve another term.

It is now certain there will be a Biden/Trump re-match in 2024. Trump secured the Republican nomination once votes were reported from Washington on Tuesday, March 12th.

The re-match is expected to revolve around the same swing states as the 2020 election. The candidates are expected to address similar issues such as the economy, immigration, women’s reproductive health, foreign policy, and inflation.

Biden continues to blame Trump for the country’s problems by promoting “division and darkness” and claims he is driven by “grievance and grift”. Biden claims Trump will “rip away” fundamental freedoms for women regarding healthcare.

A recent poll shows Trump would win a re-match against Biden 48% – 43%. The Biden administration is betting that Democratic and independent voters will be “fearful” of Trump serving a second term as president and stand with Biden despite their trepidation. Biden’s campaign strategy will place focus on all of Trump’s perceived shortcomings.
