Border Video Showing Massive Migrant Surge Sparks MAGA Outrage

( – A video purporting to show a swarm of illegals crossing the border into the U.S. is inspiring a renewed wave of outrage at President Biden and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Additional video shows hundreds of individuals mulling around in groups until they could be processed by Border Patrol. It was shared by Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, who said he received it from someone working at the border.

Newsweek was unable to verify the circumstances of the footage. Melugin said it was shot near Eagle Pass, Texas, which is one of the major crossings for illegals coming over the southern border.

President Joe Biden is taking a beating at the polls and in comments online as a result. Illegal immigration and border security have become key focal points in the run-up to the 2024 election where Biden is running for reelection. Fiscal year 2023 saw almost 2.5 million stops at the border, with FY2022 having 2.4 million, per U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials.

Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate and TV anchor Kari Lake called the fiasco deadly and destructive.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called it “outrageous” and said that the Democrat party was allowing “an invasion” of illegal immigrants to come over the southern border. He further said that “every single Democrat politician” was to blame and that voters should hold them all accountable at the ballot box.

Former Treasury Department secretary Monica Crowley suggested the situation is causing ongoing harm to America and that it was intentional.

Republican Representative candidate David Giglio demanded all the illegal aliens be repatriated to their countries of origin and suggested a moratorium on all immigration until such time that the border is secure with a complete wall and there’s a new system for legal immigrants that works.

Former President and GOP primary front-runner Donald Trump promised to secure the border during his speech at a rally in Nevada on Sunday, December 17th. He said the waves of illegal migration were causing damage to the country, and said he would use federal agencies to defend the border and bring troops back from overseas posts.
