(BrightPress.org) – Rep. James Comer (R-KY), speaking with Newsmax on February 13th, said he was shocked by attempts at intimidation by the Democrats on his committee during a closed-door session where Tony Bobulinski gave testimony about Joe Biden’s involvement in Hunter Biden’s business deals.
Bobulinski is the only past Biden associate who is willing to suggest the sitting president was involved. Additional witnesses, including Robert Walker, have refuted his claims under oath, suggesting someone is committing perjury. The committee is examining evidence that President Biden was not only involved in his son’s businesses but also benefited financially and potentially exchanged political favors for the funds.
Speaking on “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” Comer said the bold and overt attempts at intimidation were unlike anything he’s ever seen in Congress. He specifically named Reps. Dan Goldman (D-NY), Jamie Raskin (D-MD), Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), and Robert Garcia (D-CA).
Comer said the Democrats yelled, pointed, and called Bobulinski a liar. He said he was even told to “shut up.” Comer called Bobulinski “an American hero” for his willingness to take the flak and speak the truth. Quoting the famous line from “A Few Good Men,” Comer suggested, “Democrats can’t handle the truth.”
Comer’s sentiments echoed a written statement published on the Oversight Committee website which describes the Democrats as cutting Bobulinski off mid-sentence, threatening him, and yelling.
Garcia took to X to complain about the testimony, suggesting Bobulinski was “unhinged” while repeating the Democrat talking point that there is “no evidence” to tie Biden to his son’s business deals. Garcia also attempted to suggest Bobulinski was a partisan actor because he attended a presidential debate and spoke during a Trump press conference.
Comer confirmed that Boblinski was there to testify to the fact that Joe Biden’s political influence was being sold around the world. He also highlighted that Bobulinski detailed how Biden helped facilitate a Chinese deal that was designed to help China circumvent U.S. laws that prevented them from owning manufacturing facilities, farmland, or energy companies.
Comer also highlighted that Bobulinski’s testimony suggested President Biden lied about the timing of his involvement; he said that Biden was involved during his time as Vice President, not after leaving office as Biden has previously claimed.
