General Keane Goes at Biden

(BrightPress.org) – Retired General Jack Keane called out President Joe Biden for his statements regarding the ongoing war in Israel. During an episode of America’s Newsroom, the Fox News analyst criticized Biden for publicly disagreeing with how Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is handling the war against Hamas.

Keane said he wishes the president would “leave Israel alone” to handle operations as they see fit. Keane made further statements indicating he agreed with Netanyahu that Hamas should be permanently eliminated. According to Keane, this is the only course of action that will allow the people of Israel to have renewed trust in their government following the terrorist attacks by Hamas on October 7th.

President Biden has recently said there is no “red line” or point where he would cut off weapons to Israel. This was in response to Biden being overheard on a hot mic that he planned a “come-to-Jesus” moment with Netanyahu over actions causing civilian deaths in Israel. According to Biden, Netanyahu’s handling of the war is “hurting Israel” and is contrary to what the country stands for.

This is not the first time Keane has publicly disagreed with Biden over the war in Israel. In January 2024 Keane told Fox News he believed the Biden administration should “stay out of” the war against Hamas. Keane confirmed the main objective of Netanyahu and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) was the destruction of Hamas.

Recently, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released a report indicating Netanyahu’s tenure faces “serious challenges.” One expert is concerned the way the report was framed could give the appearance that the U.S. government is attempting to influence Israeli voters. The report indicated a “lack of confidence” in Netanyahu’s leadership since October 7th.

An Israeli official stated the country expects “our friends” to overthrow Hamas, not the “elected government in Israel.”

Netanyahu has pushed back against Biden’s criticism stating, “We’re not getting off the gas.”
