(BrightPress.org) – Emails between the Pentagon and Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN), an anti-Israel human rights group, prove the Biden administration has been coordinating with DAWN since 2022. Internal government emails confirm the State Department and Defense Department have both been colluding with DAWN.
On Sunday, May 5th, the Biden administration stopped a military aid shipment of ammunition to Israel. This is the first time Biden has hesitated to send any type of aid to Israel since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7th, 2023. Emails indicate DAWN has previously asked Biden to stop sending military aid to Israel. DAWN has provided the State Department with a list of Israeli military units to sanction for alleged human rights crimes.
In April of this year, the Biden administration decided to continue sending military aid to Israel Defense Forces (IDF) even though three battalions were said to have committed “gross human rights violations” against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank. Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, wrote in a letter to House Speaker Mike Johnson that Israel would still receive assistance in “the full amount appropriated by Congress” unless Israel neglected to take specific steps to address the problem with the offending IDF battalions in the West Bank.
It appears the purpose of the emails originating from February 2022 has been to isolate Jewish Israelis living in the West Bank which Palestinians claim as the capital of their state. The West Bank is controlled by Israel under Israeli law.
According to Reed Rubinstein, a senior counselor with America First Legal, the emails indicate a partnership with the DAWN organization to “fan a worldwide firestorm of anti-Semitism.”
Israel has recently told Hamas to evacuate Rafah which could indicate a probable ground operation. Israel has withdrawn from most areas in Gaza but has a history of rebounding quickly.
The previously unreleased emails between U.S. officials and DAWN could suggest the anti-Israel group holds some influence inside the Biden administration.
